How to Change the JDBC connection of Metadata Repository in OBIEE 11g

While installing the OBIEE11g we have to pass the metadata schema created with help of RCU (Repository Creation Utility). But after installation if anyone wants to change the Metadata schema then we have to do some configuration changes in Enterprise Manager. To configure the changes follow the following changes

1) logged in to Fusion Middleware http://Machine_name:port/em
       Machine_name:- name of the machine / ip address
       Port: – 7001 default port
2) navigate over weblogic Domain -> name of your domain ( By default it is bifoundation_domain), available in left pan.
3) click on Weblogic domain as shown below




4) Select JDBC Data Source, the screen may appear as




5) Select EPMSystemRegistry




Database URl: -
Jdbc:oracle:thin -> Default
Hostname: – name of host where metadata resides
1521:- Default Port
Orcl:- servicename
password: enter the metadata schema password
Provide the user value in property section

 
6) Do the same thing for bip_datasource and mds_owsm





7) To change the metadata connection for scheduler, navigate over Business Intelligence -> correapplication-> Deployment -> scheduler and click on lock and Edit
