WebADI in R12

WebADI is included and available in R12. I will share some knowledge  on ADI in 12.1.2 and 12.1.3. The DIF (Desktop Integration Framework) that is already installed in R12, was not the case in 11i. There are some profile options but they are good by default and need no changes except you want to change the retention of keeping the doc etc. If you are looking to see those profile options they start with BNI and you can make a search on those. However, I will mention them in the profile section below.

How to find whether WebADI is installed and is functional:

1- If you have R12 installed, you could try using the following links to see whether it is installed from the outset.

2- Also use system administrator responsibility and navigate as:

security --> define-->responsibility  (Now search for Desk%). You should see responsibilities related to Desktop Integrator. You may want to add  "Desktop Integration Manager" and can check it out.

What are essential Patches those are required:

WebADI certainly is part of R12. However, there are GL and BNI patches those are required to avoid some pitfalls on page not displayed or web page errors. There are many patches those are required on BNI B and GL B patches. However, Oracle recommends that none of the GL or BNI patches should be installed jut because. You need to face a specific error to get those installed. Oracle do suggest the following patches  though.

Please download the language patches if you are using other languages.


Also, please note that there are 36 or 37 patches for BNI B and those need to be evaluated as per need or errorr encountered basis. I will have the document from MOS at the Document Section.
